Following Jesus isn’t just about knowing facts about Him. It’s about surrendering your life and allowing Him to transform every part of you. Jesus said, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me” (Luke 9:23, NLT).

Following Christ starts with a decision—but it doesn’t end there. It’s a daily commitment to walk in obedience, even when it’s hard. It means setting aside personal ambitions and trusting God’s path. It’s living with open hands, saying, “Lord, Your will, not mine.”

Discipleship is costly. It calls for sacrifice, perseverance, and faith. But Jesus promises that following Him leads to real life—life filled with peace, purpose, and joy that circumstances cannot take away (John 10:10).

At Macedonia Baptist Church, we believe every believer is called to live as a disciple, not just a fan. That means we seek to know Jesus personally, obey His teachings, and help others come to know Him too. Following Jesus is a lifelong journey, but it’s one we never walk alone. He is faithful to lead, guide, and strengthen us every step of the way.
